Red Kite Winter Roost Watch

Service Description

Escorted tour to viewpoints around the stunning rolling hills and drumlins of South Down (a part of the Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark). As you gaze at the beautiful scenery, you and your guide will look to the skies for the Red Kites as they come in to roost, against the backdrop of the Mourne Mountains and the Dromara Hills and as the sun sets behind the mystical Slieve Gullion. Ravens, Buzzards, Sparrowhawks and even Peregrine falcons make this landscape their home too. Tour groups consist of 4-12 participants. Home-baked cakes and hot refreshments included.

Please be aware that timings for both Red Kite Winter Roost and Coast and Country tours are subject to weather and tide conditions, and could therefore change. Information about any changes to times and locations of tours will be provided via email. Tours that are over or under subscribed may require rescheduling, in case of which you will be contacted via email. Please note that refunds are not available to clients who choose to cancel an agreed-upon booking. If your circumstances have changed, please inquire at least 24 hours in advance of your tour to reschedule.
